ABOUT

“One day you’ll tell your story of how you overcame what you went through and it will be someone’s survival guide”

– Brene Brown

Hi,
I am Danelle M. Pinnock and I’m here to tell you that danellempinnock.com really isn’t ABOUT ME or rather not JUST about me, this site is about you.

In 2017 I was hospitalised for almost two months. It was a gruesome time and during one particularly depressing night I cried, real tears, snot faced bawled to the Lord. The next morning whilst having my devotions I wrote down what I felt God was saying and whattsapped it to my family and close friends. That became my coping mechanism for the rest of that hospital stay.
When I was discharged I considered stopping but then persons kept asking me to add their relatives, coworkers and friends to my whattsapp list and so the morning devotionals have continued. I now write and send devotional readings on a weekly basis to over 1000 whattsapp contacts.

This is all in alignment with a promise God gave me in 2013. I had been diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in 2012 and at a women’s conference the following year God told me that He would heal me but it wouldn’t be immediately and that He would use my journey to encourage others. Since that time I’ve had the privilege of speaking at retreats, services, workshops and conferences and in 2019 released my first publication “31 Day Devotional- Quiet Time.”

Who am I when I’m not writing?

I am a full time homemaker and freelancer.
I first met my husband Raul at the University of the West Indies where we both studied Food Chemistry. We exchanged vows in 2010 and have been blessed with two beautiful children, Levi and Zhuri.

We live where many vacation on the beautiful island of Jamaica surrounded by our amazing support network of family and friends.

My husband is a cancer survivor and God has truly used our journeys through suffering in sickness to really highlight His faithfulness and open doors for us to encourage others, touch lives and also to be blessed by the many that have journeyed with us, all for His glory.
